Seema Jain
Seema Jain is an Accredited Family Law Mediator and Child Protection Mediator, Children's Lawyer, a Collaborative Family Law lawyer and Family Law Arbitrator. She is also an appointed Dispute Resolution Officer at the Superior Court of Justice, who assists parties by narrowing issues and facilitating settlement before the parties meet with a judge. Seema was called to the bar in 2002 and has been practising exclusively in the area of family law since that time. Prior to becoming a lawyer, she obtained a Masters Degree in Social Work and worked as a clinical social worker.
Before starting her own practice, Seema worked at a boutique family law firm in downtown Toronto.
Seema’s focus in assisting clients is to listen carefully before she provides the appropriate information and generates options, solutions or strategies.
Andrea Kim
Andrea is a family lawyer who enjoys negotiating both comprehensive parenting plans and complex financial settlements. Her goal is to provide superior value to clients by keeping abreast the latest legal developments and delivering services in a practical and cost-effective manner. Andrea is also a member of Collaborative Practice Toronto and represents children as a panel lawyer for the Office of the Children's Lawyer.
After her call to the bar in 2012, Andrea worked at a leading corporate finance law firm before deciding to devote her practice to families and children. Andrea holds a J.D. from the University of Toronto, where she received the Blakes Scholar Award, volunteered for Downtown Legal Services and the Child Advocacy Project, and was a production editor for Ultra Vires and the University of Toronto Faculty of Law Review.
Andrea has presented for the Ontario Bar Association and taught various family law topics to other professionals. She is also a contributor to the Lawyer's Daily, a news site for the Canadian legal community, as well as an editor of Wilson’s On Children and the Law.
Eva Chan
Eva is a family lawyer who serves her clients in all areas of family law. She has represented clients at trial at the Ontario Court of Justice and the Superior Court of Justice, and has assisted on cases before the Ontario Court of Appeal. Eva's goal is to provide individualized legal advice to address the specific needs of her clients.
Eva was an associate lawyer at Meyrick Law for eight years, where she worked closely with Sandra Meyrick (now the Honourable Justice Meyrick) until her Honour's appointment to the Bench in June 2023. Prior to being called to the Bar in 2015, Eva divided her articles between Meyrick Law and the Law Office of Thomas J. MacLennan.
Eva received her J.D. from Osgoode Hall Law School where she represented Osgoode Hall at the Walsh Family Law Moot and volunteered at the Family Law Project with Pro Bono Students Canada. As student-staff at Osgoode Hall's student legal clinic, Eva represented clients before various administrative tribunals. Prior to law school, Eva received a B.A. in English Rhetoric and Professional Writing from the University of Waterloo and worked for five years within the Rogers Wireless Division at Rogers Communications Inc.
